The Fourth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic The Fourth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, June 14, 2010 (Flag Day) at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD. The Third Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic The Salute Military Golf Association held its third annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 1, 2009, at Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax, VA. For the third year in a row, the tournament was a sell out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American soldiers injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. 128 players, including 16 SMGA veterans, heard Lieutenant General James Thurman deliver the dinner's keynote address, and witnessed Major Ed Pulido, Executive Director, Folds of Honor Foundation, deliver college scholarships to the family of SMGA Participant Ramon Padilla (http://www.pgalinks.com/displays/printerfriendly.cfm?ctc=5558). The SMGA board thanks all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this year's event so successful. The Second Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic The Salute Military Golf Association held its second annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 2, 2008, at Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax, VA. For the second year in a row, this tournament sold out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American soldiers injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than 120 players and 19 SMGA veterans heard Lieutenant General David Huntoon, Director, Army Staff deliver the keynote dinner address.
